Six More Weeks of Winter?!?
Dear Parents,
Even though Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, we are hoping the rest of the winter season will remain as mild as it has been. It really doesn't matter to us as we are very busy doing many things in Room 414 including preparing for the CMTs in March!
Ms .Jordan, my student teacher, has been teaching Math and doing "Soggy Paper" experiments in Science. Ask your child which paper towel had the most absorbency. Our next unit in Science will be Measurement, and it will serve as a great review before we take the CMTs in Math.
The students are getting real excited about the Museum of Famous People coming up on February 15th. Please save that morning to come in and visit our museum. I will be sending home more information on it next week. Please help your child prepare a poster to serve as a background or backdrop for them as they stand in front of it dressed as their famous person. Next week all the narratives, costumes and props should be completed. No need for them to memorize their speech but they should be reading it over and over to sound fluent as they present.
Thank you and I will be in touch.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Cacace
