News from Roxbury Room 412!
We are having a great year so far!!! My students have been working really hard learning the routines and rituals during reading and writing. We have also been working independently during math time. My students are VERY responsible with their work and they get all of their work done and can problem solve for themselves without reminders.

"What can I work on with my child at home?"
Please read with your child often and talk to them about the book. Ask them comprehension questions and make sure they are understanding what they are reading. Challenge them to interpret their books, not just literally comprehend them.
Practice your addition and subtraction BASIC FACTS with your child. Everyday Math does not focus on basic facts, but the students need to have automaticity of these facts to do well in math from 3rd grade on.
